first, make a list of the best keywords the user will use, the list can include many keywords but keep in mind to use:

  • Head keywords

  • long-tail keywords

  • Branded keywords

  • Non-branded Keywords

  • Competitive keywords


the head keywords consist of one, two, and three words. For example, you want to write content on your website about your product "sports shoes", the first head keyword that comes to your head is Comfy running shoes or buy sports shoes, etc.

The long-tail keywords consist of more than three words. For our example, the long tail keyword can be what is the best running shoes?. Get it.

The branded keywords simply mean using your brand in your keywords list.

The Non-branded keywords are the keywords without brand mention.

The competitive keywords this is important and many forget to include competitive keywords or branded competitive keywords in their list.

starting with broad keywords with high volume and more competition to meet the awareness intent of the user, then become more specific with more long-tail keywords, and don't forget that the long-tail keywords represent 70% of search queries in the search engines with more intent to transactional and conversational actions.

  • Moz

  • SEMrush

  • Yoast

  • Ahrefs
